American Nightmare - “Hearts”

“I drew a heart around the name of your city.”

Anonymous: ahh that top is cute! where do you usually buy your clothes from? do you shop online?

It’s actually a dress! It’s just a bit short so it must be warn with tights. It’s from a store in Canberra called itrip iskip (I think that’s what it’s called!) I don’t shop online really, it frustrates me too much. Mainly I get my staples from American Apparel and General Pants and quirky pieces from op shops. I feel a lot more comfortable with what I wear nowdays and I think it’s because I tried to op shop everything and it gave me an anxiety complex haha. X

Anonymous: What sort of makeup do you use and skincare? I know you probably have been asked this before (sorry!) but my skin is not at its best and I want to look nice (like you!). Thanks dear.

Oh honey my skin is far from perfect! I’ve struggled with acne my whole life and have some scaring. One thing I have found though is incorporating clean, raw food into my diet helps my skin amazing amounts! I use plain sunlight soap to wash my face morning and night (its in the detergent section of supermarkets, its super gentle and was recommended to me by my beautician friend). I use a basic, cheap moisturiser after I wash my face. Foundation I use is MAC studio fix with a MAC sheer powder on top to set it. Body shop blush, big lash mascara, MAC liquid pen eye liner. My advice is that less is more and inexpensive skin care is just as good, if not better. x

Anonymous: what are your plans for the rest of the year?

Teach, build up my teaching skills, save up money etc then move to London for a few months. I’d also like to get back into photography or pick up a new hobby (suggestions?), hang with my boyfriend as much as possible and quit social smoking/drinking too much whisky on the weekends. Certain aspects of my life are changing though, so plans may vary. x
